Keep reading to learn what these things are and how you\ncan retain your new, white smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Acidic Foods<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While the first acidic foods that come to mind are citrus\nfruits like oranges, grapefruit, or lemons, other foods, such as tomatoes or\npineapples, are high in acidic content as well. Sodas and pickles are also\nhighly acidic. As a result, the acid weakens the white enamel, making it more\nprone to picking up stains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dark-Colored Drinks and Sauces<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to preserve your whitening results, then try to\nstay away from dark-colored beverages and sauces. Drinking red wine, coffee,\ndark soda, as well as tea on a regular basis will make your teeth lose their\nbrilliance more quickly. Soy sauce, tomato sauce, and others will do the same,\nwhich is why you could limit how often you have them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Foods Containing Dyes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are not already, check the ingredients in the food\nyou eat. Darkly pigmented\nveggies and fruit like blueberries or blackberries, spinach and other leafy\ngreens, beets, and carrots, while nutritious, can cause your teeth to stain.\nFor a little while after getting your teeth whitened you may want refrain from\nthese foods or have them a different way, such as in a smoothie with a straw. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the end, you do not have to abstain from these drinks and\nfoods completely. Just know that they may accelerate fading of your new white\nsmile, and so consumption of them in moderation is key. There are plenty of\nother foods you can have that will not impact your teeth\u2019s color. Just a few\nexamples include rice, yogurt, eggs, bananas, sushi, and milk.
